SWE++

Are you a middle school student wanting to learn more about computer programming? SWE++ is a free, 8-week introduction to programming course for all 6th-8th grade students. The course is held on North Campus at the University of Michigan and is offered once each semester. All programming concepts are taught in Python on Replit.com and some topics covered include variables, loops, conditionals, lists, and dictionaries. Each week, students learn through a combination of lecture slides and project work time and then have the opportunity to practice at home afterwards.

Although this semester of SWE++ is full, the program will be continuing this upcoming Fall. If you have any questions or would like to be added to our email list, please reach out to Emma and Emily at swe.swenext@umich.edu.
